Regional SME Platform
Regional partners of this platform are organizations and legal entities originating from both the private and public sector and which are actively engaged in the development, support and promotion of their respective SME (Small Medium Enterprise) sector. All of our regional partners are located within the Caribbean and belong to Overseas Country Territories (OCT), Africa-Caribbean-Pacific (ACP) and French Oversea Territories. Typically they are:
- Business Development Centers
- Chambers of Commerce & Industries
- SME Support Organizations
- Investment and Business Promotion Bureaus
- Departments and Ministries for Economic Affairs and/or Trade
- Investment and Development Cooperation’s
- Foundations and Business Associations
The vision as an SME Regional Intermediaries Platform is to:
- Promote the institutional development and capacity building of SME intermediaries throughout the Caribbean region.
- Facilitate a regional platform for enhancing communication and professional dialogue among the regional partners.
- Promote the exchange of knowhow, experience and best practices in SME development and services among the regional partners.
- Promote regional economic development for the SME sector.
- Build understanding between the regional partners on the strengths and weaknesses of their specific SME sectors.
- Help the regional partners explore common grounds and seek ways forward for a more developed regional cooperation.
- Utilize SME intermediaries’ network potentials and making maximum use of competitive modalities
